The month of March has been one of idleness, that's for damn sure. In other words, not a whole hell of a lot has gone on this month ladies and gentlemen. At least nothing that I have been willing to disclose to the general public as of yet. What I will tell you is the idea that I am strongly considering at this time. I've considered going back to school for some post graduate work. I feel as though the bachelors degree I got in Hospitality Management has been burning a serious hole in my pocket as well as on resume.
When I look around me, I notice that it is New Jersey I live in instead of Las Vegas. Maybe in Las Vegas, I would have a better than average chance of landing a legitimate position in the hospitality industry. Nonetheless, I do not really view hospitality as being the industry in which I want to pursue a career! This world has gradually become a number's driven world. Students who graduate with degrees in accounting or finance appear to be getting the jobs at the accounting firms, financial service companies, and insurance companies. Shit, you even graduates with accounting or finance degrees scooping up the recruiting positions at many of the staffing agencies. That's scary, when you come to think about it.
Earlier today, I emailed John Boyle who taught my financial accounting class when I was going to Stockton. With this need to go back for post graduate work growing stronger and stronger with each passing week, I wanted to explain to him my motive for this idea and ask him what he thought about it. I have yet to get a response back from Boyle, but I understand that he has become an advisor to accounting students. Being an avid admirer of him for his courtesy and the fact that he was an outstanding professor, I figured I'd turn to him guidance. We'll see where this post-graduate idea of mine goes in the coming weeks. I will keep you posted.

I was due at the courthouse 8:30 this morning in Morristown. Parking for jurors was validated in the parking garage of Headquarters Plaza, so I drove there to park my car. Little did I know, when I made my way up to the lobby, that shuttle bus for the courthouse had already taken off! That kinda sucked, but luckily the courthouse was only two blocks up the hill from Headquarters Plaza. Therefore, I called the jury management office and told them I'd be a few minutes late because I was in no way, shape, or form aware that the shuttle was taking off at 8:15 for a place that is literally 2 minutes driving distance away.
Eventually, I made it to the courthouse. Looking around in the room where I was sitting down, I noticed there were about 40 people present. There was also coffee (the shitty kind, I might add) and some cookies available for those in attendance. Hey, it's the thought that counts. Right? The court feels as though it inconvenienced us enough with this jury duty business; the least they could do is provide refreshments for us. From about 9am until quarter after noon, I just sat in that room and daydreamed. I did a little thinking. I dozed off a bit. I played with my cellphone. I looked at a magazine. At approximately 12:20, the jury office manager announced that they did not need us any more and that we were free to go. How about that?
After a little over three hours (and five dollars later) spent in a courthouse, I did not even have to meet the judge or sit in the courtroom for an actual case. It could've been a hell of a lot worse, don't you think? LOL. No jury duty for me, for at least three more years now!

This news will be coming your way in a matter of a couple weeks because big thing are poppin' for B-Money in the next few days. I'm making moves and these moves will pay off. I'm going to get it all. That's all I will say about that at this time. When I get it, I will explain all of the details right here exclusively at the Blog of Bryan and there will be celebration. I will be swimming in euphoria when it happens because I have been making it happen thus far and I am on the verge of attracting the big picture all together. I will not put the cart in front of the horse just yet because I want to keep it confidential at this time and make a big note of it when it happens.
Yeah I said "when" .... not if. If this post doesn't make sense now, it will within the next couple of weeks. Elements of suspense are what keep ya'll coming back here. At this time, I have some business to attend to. Stay tuned!
For now, I will touch base with you regarding my Saturday night with Michelle.
This past weekend, after being a total sweetheart and buying me dinner, Michelle accompanied me to Miami Mike's to watch the super featherweight title fight/rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. For more on what went down in that fight, feel free to check out my report at Blog of Bryan's boxing brother site Boxing Chronicles. The fight was an enjoyable crowd pleasing seesaw battle in which Pacquiao was barely declared the victor by a razor thin split decision.
For the second time in a row, Miami Mike was not charging a cover for entry so I watched a $49.95 Pay Per View telecast for absolutely no charge whatsoever. Yeah, I paid for my alcoholic beverages but I probably would've been paying for beer and drinks at the liqour store as well and bringing the alcohol home with me, had I watched the fight on PPV at home. However, I would've been paying an extra $49.95, on top of the money paid for liqour at the liquor store, to do that. Therefore, Miami Mike's has become my ideal venue for viewing of all PPV boxing events and I am very proud of that.
Miami Mike was actually sitting right in front of me at the bar for the duration of the main event, enjoying the fight as well as the basketball games that were being shown on some of the other television monitors in his bar.
Michelle didn't feel well at all; as the night went on she had a headache that progressively got worse. I felt bad for the discomfort she was going through, but I was happy to see her and hang out with her once again nonetheless. Furthermore, it was pretty noisy at the sports bar and my screaming due to the pleasure I was having of watching such a sensational action fight surely contributed to her headache. At the end of the night, I felt as though I had irritated her, but she assured me that she was getting a headache prior to our arrival at Miami Mikes.
Nonetheless, I was happy to see Michelle and to witness such a terrific sporting event at the number one sports bar in the state of NJ, Miami Mikes.
I'm looking forward to going back there on the eve of May 31, when former welterweight champions Shane Mosley and Zab Judah battle each other in a twelve round welterweight fight of significance on HBO PPV.

Being that we are in the month of March, we should start to see warmer weather show its beautiful face. In just a few weeks, spring will officially be here. I’m looking forward to the arrival of the spring season as well as spending some time outdoors.
This past weekend, I hung out with Michelle again. She was in Florida visiting her family last week, so she was back home again this week. On Saturday night, we went to Applebees for dinner. During our meal, Michelle handed me a gift that she had gotten me while she was at Disneyworld. Once I opened it, I noticed it was a shot glass with Mickey Mouse dressed in green for St Patrick's Day. Very kind gesture on Michelle's part; I thank her and give her props for her courtesy and thoughtfulness. She's a real sweetheart!
Following our dinner at Applebees, we headed to 381 Main in Little Falls, NJ. Much like SM23, 381 Main is a bar with a classy looking lounge type set up. There’s neon lighting at the bar, with little television screens built into the wall. Walking into the establishment at the entrance, I noticed that the floors were glass floors and there was an aquarium under the floor with a bunch of fish swimming around. It really was quite a scene to behold.
At this time, I would put the 381 Main plug out there for all Blog of Bryan readers. This lounge is yet another nice joint to bring dates or significant others. No significant other or date, that's alright. It's also a nice place to go with groups of friends. The lounge is called 381 Main and it's located in Little Falls NJ. Check out 381 Main at http://www.381main.com/.
Michelle and I were standing at the beginning of the evening, due to limited seating capacity as a result of the high volume of guests, but eventually we were able to find a comfortable boot seat in one of the corners directly across from the bar. I ended up drinking a Heineken and a Long Island Ice T (which was very strong). Michelle stuck to her Bacardi and Diet Cokes (almost equally strong). We both had a really nice time and enjoyed the ambiance of the delightful lounge that I had discovered on the internet.
Eventually, 381 Main was getting ready to close for the night so Michelle and I left and headed back to her apartment for the night. It was a nice night with Michelle as well as a good weekend. I really can't complain. I look forward to this coming weekend as well. Tomorrow is already Wednesday, so we are getting that much closer!

March has now arrived, which means we're already two months into this somewhat brand new year and working on the third. Today was a beautiful day in terms of the weather, even though it was only a Monday at work. I believe the high of the day was 60 degrees, which is a nice change after the freezing temperatures and snow that we have had to deal with.
On Friday I came from work and lied down around 8pm. I napped from 8pm until like 10:30pm, at which time Michelle called me. We talked for like an hour and a half and watched television, and then we ended our conversation. At that time, I dozed off and went back to sleep. At approximately 11:30 am the next day, I woke up from a nice long night of sleep. It felt sensational. Overall, I would say I had a very nice weekend, particularly the way I spent my Saturday night. In the next post I will discuss that topic in detail and put the exclusive Blog of Bryan plug out there for the classy little lounge I hit up with Michelle.
Right now, I'm focusing on the hustle as well as making my life better than what it is now. As you probably already know, I'm all about taking what I have in the present, running with it, and making progress as I go along. As I continue my tour of duty at Citistreet, I take in the positives that come with that position, such as a number of the folks I work with and train. There's some good dudes as well as ladies who work in my department at that company. Nonetheless, I got both my mind and soul focused on what I believe lies ahead for me.
This year has been and will be a year of deliverance. From the race for presidency in the United States of America to the structure of my life. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain all have their situation to handle in the race for the White House come November, so they're campaigning against one another right now. Soon I will begin to do my homework in the world of politics and follow that race a little more closely, but for the time being the focus all on me.
It's a year in which I am turning around the negative shit that happened in 2007 and flipping the script to my advantage in 2008. People have a tendency to say what they want to accomplish, or what they think they can accomplish, but there comes a time when one has to deliver on what they say. As Christmas and New Years came and went, I had the vision in my mind that I would become more organized as the year 2008 emerged. Being more organized, I mean paying bills on time, paying off debt, and maintaining my surroundings such as my car and household by keeping those respective possessions neat and clean.
In the first couple of months, I would have to say that I have been somewhat successful in taking the steps myself out of the trouble I got into last summer. My credit card debt is slowly but surely going away with each passing week. Auto insurance, cell phone, and student loan bills are all being paid on time for the most part.
My mother has been watching the movie The Secret which happens to be a documentary regarding the Law of Attraction. Gradually I am devoting my energy to the task of making more money, eliminating any major debt that I have, and my plans and desires for a new car and getting a nice place to live. Currently I am beginning to think about what I want out of life and asking for it. To start with, I would like to attract more money. Whether that's through means of getting a new job, making more money at my current job, paying off credit card debt, or getting a federal/state tax return.
Mark my words to this, the status of my credit and financial will not just be excellent, but superb come the month of June. Yes, by the time June shows its attractive summer face, I will have taken care of my credit card debt, most of my annual auto insurance bill, and some other expenses that I will have to adhere to in the next couple of months. That's what I want to be the case. That's what I see being the case. That is what WILL be the case. Right now, right this moment, I am making sure that this is a good time, both in terms of having fun and taking care of my financial business and career endeavors, so that I may be in a more comfortable position as this year of deliverance progresses.
What I want is what I shall obtain. One step at a time, it will all be mine.
